Habitat is NOT a starter kit for your Sitecore solution

Recently, I’ve had a good chance to consolidate my own Sitecore knowledge / experience by participating in an official eLearning course Building Solutions using Sitecore® Helix 9.2 of Sitecore. In my opinion, it’s quite helpful to understand Sitecore Helix practices.

You want to know how to implement the website(s) on Sitecore Experience Platform and following Helix practices. If that is the case, you should set up Habitat on your machine so that you’re able to play around with the Sitecore solution example.

You should know that Sitecore Helix specifies recommended conventions for Sitecore development, while Habitat is an example of an implementation following Helix practices so just a friendly reminder: Habitat is NOT a starter kit for your own Sitecore solution.

By the way, the following sales / marketing Sitecore demo(s) are NOT a Sitecore starter kit as well 😀

  2. Habitat Home CommerceHabitatHome Commerce Demo and the tools and processes in it is a Sitecore® solution example built using Sitecore Experience Accelerator™ (SXA) on Sitecore Experience Platform™ (XP) and Sitecore Experience Commerce™ (XC) following the Helix architecture principles
  3. Habitat Home Corporate: Habitat Home Corporate Demo and the tools and processes in it, is a Sitecore® solution example built using standard Sitecore MVC on the Sitecore Experience Platform™ (XP) following the Helix architecture principles
