Sitecore 9 and my simple development framework version 2.2

Sitecore Experience Platform 9 Update 2 (aka Sitecore XP 9.0.2) was out two months ago. Personally, I wanted to wait for the new release of awesome ones such as Glass.Mapper.Sc version 5, Unicorn version 4.0.4 so that I had a chance to upgrade all of them as well. Finally, my simple Sitecore development framework version 2.2 is out:

  • Upgrading to Glass.Mapper.Sc Version 5 (thanks my fellow Sitecore MVP Micheal Edwards)
  • Upgrading to Unicorn 4.0.4 (thanks my fellow Sitecore MVP Mark Cassidy)
  • Upgrading Sitecore References via Nuget from Sitecore XP 9.0.1 to Sitecore XP 9.0.2 ones
    • msdf22_1.png
  • Upgrading to Sitecore module Custom Icon Injector version 1.1 to make it work properly with Sitecore 9, otherwise you would see something like this
    • csi_20
  • Adding a new gulp task Sync-Unicorn-Root-Nodes so that we don’t have to perform Sitecore serialization for non-transparent-sync items such as languages, field types, content editor, the root folders + the layer folders of layouts, templates, renderings, placeholder settings, etc
    • msdf22_10.png
  • Refining the Sitecore template structure (there are some places violate Helix principles)
  • Refining the project templates as well
    • msdf22_3.png

Additional one

Happy Sitecore Coding!
